When it starts to get humid, my copier makes bacon paper

Sun Chips paper
this is actually how Sun Chips corporate handles all documents
Damn, I didn’t think this was what chip companies meant when they said they were introducing all new mini paper thin chips…
Ah yes. The forbidden sunchip
That depends on how loud the paper is. If it doesn't have a deafening crinkle, then it's something else.
Definitely more of a Sun Chips [sicheeation.](https://youtu.be/gOaCD_JNgkA?t=50)
Assuming this means you don't work in an air conditioned space; that's rough, buddy.
No no, I do, but our doors are opening and closing every few minutes. Service Department at a dealer
Gotcha. Still rough. I work in an asphalt emulsion lab and we have similar conditions. Doesn't crinkle the paper, though. AC must be working overtime.
Surprised you don't have bacon skin with the videos I've seen of those places.
You guys should get a air curtain installed over the doors.
Would it be too much to ask for you to print out some pictures of bacon and post pics? It would be a good way to make the best out of a bad situation.
Or not properly. We had a new ac installed and it helps control humidity, just a few% drop and it's feels sooooo much better
You can use a doorstopper the wrong way
Well, you're still stopping a door...
Mmm bacon paper..
I mean, technically it's vegan, but it's against their goal of preserving the planet and saving animals, y'know? Cuz paper is made from trees, and entire forests are wiped out for paper mills.
Not really. Paper is a reasonably sustainable industry. For the most part, their trees are planted and replaced by the company that makes the paper. And paper is one of the more recyclable materials so most paper these days has some percentage of recycled fiber.
Lumber and carpentry is far more destructive because they value trees that require a lot longer to grow. Paper doesn't need the slow growing hardwood.
Mmm recycled vegan paper bacon
That's good to know.
Very tasty when you season it with mayoneese
Those are lovely curtains.
Put less paper in at a time. Silica pellets in the tray can help. Different, Better or heavier paper can help and sometimes feeding it short edge through (landscape or letter-r) can reduce that. All this assuming your technician has a new fused in the unit and the exit assembly is operating correctly. If a new unopened pack of paper doesn’t make the waves then it’s humidity.
There is so much info here that I lost interest in wanting to try and fix it. Haha. Thank you so much tho. I'll see if I can finger something out
Yep sounds like service department ;)
Lol sorry. Years in copier industry and couldn’t control myself.
i just whispered "bacon paper" out loud and i really hope no one heard me
Hey bacon neck!!
Ahhhhh bacon bacon
Making paper, making bacon paper! I takes some bacon and turn it into paper! Bacon paper that's what its gonna make, *BACON PAPERRRRRRR* ^I ^know ^it ^doesn't ^rhyme ^well
Damn it Jake, you beat me to it.
Now you have some bacon
Can confirm. I worked at a copy shop in the 90s, and we would have probably 4x as many paper jams on rainy days.
Have the same problem at my office as well. It was fixed by putting a dehumidifier next to the printer.
That is the exact problem that brought about the invention of air conditioning by Willis Carrier - just watched a show about it last night!
Now trim the edges with those wavy scissors
I will do horrible things for bacon
Taste test? Crunchy or no?
More of a crispy than crunchy texture
Tastes like turkey bacon too
A good dehumidifier is honestly a great investment.
does it taste well?
Hmm. Neat feature
Is this the [control panel](https://i.imgur.com/FRBwbPa.jpg)?
That is actually a feature, you gotta turn the grill option off. Happened to me too, it is midlyinfurating that it comes on as standard.
I’m curious what business processes you use a copier for? I am in an industry that has been going digital for years and we don’t use paper output much.
I would love to roll up a fat stack of that shit and shove it up my loose ass. Bet it would work really well and be ribbed for my pleasure lol
This copier is making waves in the printing industry
Press button, receive bacon
do you work underwater ?
OP just doesn’t enjoy post modernist aesthetics
that's because as it goes through the fuser (the hot thing where the paper comes out) one roller is hot and one isn't drying one side more than the other making it bend. Depending on model you may have a tray heater that will pre heat paper before you put it through.
Bacon paper yummmmmm
Print strips of bacon on it please.
Put some actual bacon in there lol
Hey, free meal! Just close your eyes
me living on an island not knowing shit about humidity
Get a paper drawer heater. Most business class machines will have them as an option
Your office needs a dehumidifier 😝
Same thing happened to me. I'm considering getting a new one since this is a reoccurring problem.
Sky blue. Yup.
